Our Story
REIC was born from a passion that has been with me for as long as I can remember.
My name is Philipe. I studied Marketing for 5 years, and I’ve traveled to more than 30 countries — always drawn to observing people, their style, and especially the sunglasses they wore. Everywhere I went, I paid attention to how eyewear could change someone’s presence, confidence, and story.
Seven years ago, I moved to Ireland, and that’s where the spark to create my own brand truly came alive. Ireland didn’t just inspire me — it gave the brand its name.
In Irish (Gaeilge), the word “Reic” means “to sell”, but for me it represents much more than commerce. It’s about sharing something meaningful, creating connection, and building a brand with purpose.
Over the years, I realized that sunglasses are more than accessories — they reflect who we are, where we’ve been, and where we’re going. But I also noticed a pattern: the best, most versatile sunglasses often came with astronomical price tags, making true style inaccessible for many.
That’s why I created REIC — a modern eyewear brand for people who move through the world.
