REIC was born from a passion that’s been with me for as long as I can remember.

My name is Philipe. I studied Marketing for 5 years, and I’ve traveled to over 30 countries – always drawn to observing people, their style, and especially the sunglasses they wore.

Seven years ago, I moved to Ireland, and that’s where the spark to create my own brand truly came alive.

Ireland not only gave me the inspiration to start REIC, but it also gave the brand its name.

In Irish (Gaeilge), the word “Reic” means “to sell” – and for me, it represents much more than commerce. It’s about sharing something meaningful, creating a connection, and building a brand with purpose.

I realized that sunglasses are more than accessories – they tell stories of who we are and where we’re going. But I also noticed that the best sunglasses often come with astronomical price tags, leaving true style out of reach for many.

That’s when REIC was born – a brand for those who move through the world, offering sophisticated design and premium quality, without the luxury markup. Each collection is inspired by my travels and the stories I’ve lived – from golden-hour sunsets on distant shores to the vibrant streets of new cities.
